About
Haleon is a global consumer health company based in the United Kingdom, with deep expertise in science-led innovation across oral health, pain relief, respiratory, digestive health, and vitamins.
The Challenge
The challenge focuses on developing recyclable pump solutions for healthcare and personal care products to reduce packaging waste and improve sustainability. It aims to explore:
- Mono-material pump formats for sprays (up to 0.5 mL per actuation)
- Mono-material pump formats for creams and gels (up to 1 mL per actuation)
- Pump designs made from a single polymer type, ideally matching the bottle material
- Re-usable or refillable pump solutions that reduce single-use waste
The ultimate goal is to deliver recyclable or refillable pump formats that meet performance standards, minimize material complexity, and enable compatibility with curbside recycling or validated recycling processes.
