Open Call - Pitch your AI-powered wastewater treatment solution to Waterschapsbedrijf Limburg (WBL)

The SPIN4EIC initiative, powered by EIC Innovation Procurement Programme is organizing an online Pitching session with the Waterschapsbedrijf Limburg (WBL) organization, on 15 and 16 January 2025. This will be an unmissable opportunity for EIC beneficiaries to share their solutions in the field of water in front of WBL, the regional wastewater treatment company and the winner of 2021 European Innovation Procurement Award Prize. Are you an EIC beneficiary? Do you have an interesting solution that responds to one or more of the challenges to pitch to WBL? Apply here before 9 December 2024. Seize the opportunity to connect with WBL – don't miss your chance! For this pitching opportunity a maximum of 5 EIC beneficiaries will be selected to participate in each of the 6 proposed challenges. All EIC beneficiaries involved in pioneering products or services related to solutions for the Public Administrations who have developed or are in the process of creating solutions for this challenge, are invited to respond to this call. What's in for you? You will have the chance to pitch your solutions to WBL the Waterschapsbedrijf Limburg wastewater treatment company subsidiary of one of the 21 Dutch regional water authorities, which has transformed the way in which 17 wastewater treatment plants and 150 sewage pumping stations are managed. With an investment of approximately €20 million, WBL will drive innovation aimed at unlocking the full potential of AI in water treatment processes, enhancing efficiency, and setting new standards in water treatment technology. Break into the Japanese Digital Solutions market thanks to the EU Business Hub programme!

Are you an EIC Awardee interested in entering the Japanese market? We have your back!  The EU Business Hub is an EU-funded programme that supports EU companies in the green, digital and healthcare sectors to enter the markets of Japan and the Republic of Korea.  As part of this programme, 20 business missions are organised in the upcoming four years (10 to Japan and 10 to the Republic of Korea) and coaching, logistical and financial support will be provided to the companies participating. Each business mission will allow a group of 50 cutting-edge companies to benefit from extensive and tailored business coaching and logistical support throughout their participation.  As member of the SPIN4EIC Digital Transformation group, we believe you would be particularly interested in the opportunity to participate in the EU Business Hub @ Japan IT Week Spring 2025 business mission. The Future of SEPs and Innovation in Europe

Governments across the world have recognised the strategic importance of leadership in key technological standards, including for cellular communications, and relying on an open, industry-led standardisation process. The European Union's proposed regulation on Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) has sparked significant debate within the technology industry over its implications on Europe's ability to innovate in next-generation technologies such as 5G and 6G. Concerns have been raised regarding the potential impact on innovation, competitiveness but also national security and defence capabilities. Join this roundtable lunch hosted by Euractiv in collaboration with Qualcomm, representatives from industry, academia, and government will delve into the future of SEPs and standardisation in Europe. Reminder: Register to the EIC BAS Innovation Procurement Academy powered by SPIN4EIC by 30 September!

The SPIN4EIC Strategic Innovation Procurement initiative aims to offer hands-on assistance to EIC awardees to take part as bidders in public and private sector innovation procurement processes, including procurement of Research and Development (R&D) services, within and outside the European Union (EU). This is a free service available to EIC awardees only.   In the context of the Academy, courses are organised to offer EIC awardees trainings and inspiring learning sessions to develop their skills and capacity to participate in procurement opportunities, thereby helping them to scale their businesses.   What’s in it for you?   EIC awardees can now apply for the EIC BAS Innovation Procurement Academy powered by SPIN4EIC, taking place fully online between 14 October and 17 October.
