News: Do not miss the opportunity to exhibit at Transport Research Arena 2020 conference in Helsinki from 27 to 30 April 2020

Bertrand Wert

The Transport Research Arena 2020 conference (TRA 2020) is hosted and organised by the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, Business Finland, VTT and co-organised by the European Commission, will take place in Helsinki, from 27 to 30 April 2020.

TRA is the biggest European Research and Technology Conference on transport and mobility. TRA 2020’s theme is "Rethinking transport - towards clean and inclusive mobility" and it brings together in Helsinki experts from around the world to discuss most recent innovations and the future of mobility and transport.

The European Commission will host a large stand in the exhibition area to showcase European excellence in transport research. This is a unique opportunity to enhance the visibility of EU-funded transport innovation projects.

The European Commission servicies will offer:

- A Project area for the exhibition (approximately 250sqm) and will include an exhibition area for visually attractive demonstrations (e.g. prototypes of vehicles, software, applications, etc.) and a networking/outreach area to show project videos on a large screen and/or engage with visitors;

- A Networking/Outreach area to show project videos (3 to 5 minutes) on a large LCD screen and engage with visitors.

- The EC covers the costs of the EC stand. The EU projects will have to cover their own expenses (e.g. transportation of materials/equipment, etc.);

- Exhibitors will be able to have a reduced registration rate to attend the whole event.

Application Closed

You will need to submit the form. Please note, forms will be reviewed by European Commission servicies and the best ones will be selected. Since the stand will be visited not only by stakeholders, but also by the general public, proposed projects should be catchy, visually attractive, tangible and of interest also for a non-specialised audience.

Important: EC funding must be clearly and duly acknowledged, as requested by the Grant Agreement, article 29. European Commission's services will retain a limited number of projects after a selection based, on the one hand, on quality and media relevance of submitted proposals and, on the other hand, on their thematic relevance and consistency with the TRA 2020 topics.

Should your proposal be retained, our colleagues from Directorate General RTD will inform you in October 2019 and you will receive detailed information about practical aspects by December 2019.

Please note that the costs associated with your participation are to be covered under your project’s budget.

We look forward to welcoming you at the European Commission's stand at TRA2020!
