Several corporates, private and public procurers, among other organisations, are using the EIC Challenge platform to share their challenges and find solutions through the EIC network. This is Shell’s turn to promote its New Energy Challenge (NEC), where start-ups and scale-ups that are developing emerging technologies and digital solutions to remove carbon from the atmosphere can submit their innovations. If you are working in this green sector, don't miss this chance and discover how to apply below!

New Energy Challenge 2022

In this year’s edition, the NEC will search for start-ups and scale-ups that are developing emerging technologies and digital solutions in the field of carbon capture, storage, and utilisation. The challenge is open to companies pioneering novel approaches to removing carbon from the atmosphere (e.g. through digital and nature-based solutions) and who want to drive forward the rapid decarbonisation needed to cool our warming planet.

The NEC is a partnership between Shell (Shell Ventures, GameChanger) Rockstart, Unknown Group and YES!Delft and is open to European and Israeli start-ups and scale-ups. The winning companies will be given the opportunity to connect with investors and experts, unlocking the knowledge, contacts, funding, and support needed to scale their business and help them to drive change in the energy system.

If you’re interested in this challenge, discover more and register here until 1 May 2022!
