Innovation took center stage on 27 June 2024, in Valencia, as 2024 edition of the European Urban Resilience Forum hosted a pitching session by the SPIN4EIC Programme, powered by EIC Business Acceleration Services.

The Pitching Session was designed to connect the resilience and adaptation needs of public authorities with innovative solutions from top EIC Beneficiaries. These solutions encompass water resilience and the transformation towards resilient, adaptive, and climate-neutral cities and regions.

Representatives from three public administrations (the Municipality of Madrid, the City of Thessaloniki and the City of Zagreb) were introduced to cutting-edge solutions from four pitchers:

• CO2BioClean - Captures exhaust CO2 emissions from industrial and wastewater treatment sites and converts them into natural biopolymers;
• Hydro Volta - Offers sustainable technology for water treatment, desalination and reuse.
• SEAB Power - Technology converting food waste and other mixed organic wastes into energy, water and fertilizers.
• Variolytics - Environmental analytics and AI applied to wastewater and sewage treatment and process optimization.
