The European Commission in collaboration with FETFX organises the second annual Future Tech Week, which will take place entirely online, from 21 to 25 September 2020. The event provides EIC Pathfinder FET projects with a unique opportunity and broad platform upon which to showcase their achievements in fields aligning with the European Commission’s priorities, including Artificial Intelligence and information technology, health and biotech, culture and society, energy and environment, and nanotech and materials. Save the date!

The Future Tech Week aims at raising visibility and awareness around visionary, high-risk and long-term impact research funded by the European Commission under the FET programme, including the EIC Pathfinder as a driver for future breakthrough innovation. The Future Tech Week will propose a range of online sessions focused on high-risk research and innovation, following namely the sustainability and digital policies of the European Commission.

The initiative will also be part of the European Union’s flagship research event ‘Research & Innovation Days’, which brings together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.

“Following the success of last year, I am extremely pleased to announce a 2020 edition for the Future Tech Week”, said EIC Pilot Advisory Board member Jerzy Langer. “The EIC Pathfinder FET programme is the champion of tomorrow’s research and innovation; these projects produce research of exceptional quality aimed at breakthrough technologies which will revolutionise our life. The Future Tech Week provides a public platform upon which to celebrate this research - which will help pave Europe’s way towards a green, digital and resilient future - to share in their exciting successes, achievement and results”, added.
