On 16 June 2020, 1 pm (CET) the European Innovation Council (EIC) will host an ‘ePitching with Investors’ on SaaS and ICT-solutions.  Six EIC-funded SMEs are gearing up to pitch their innovations to investors from Amadeus Ventures, BTOV, DN Capital, Experior Venture Fund, IdInvest, Omnes Capital, Kurma Partners and Speedinvest

In the past year’s software tools like Mailchimp, Dropbox and Pocket have become household names while services like WebEx and GoToMeeting have been the to-go tools for many people during home-office. All these products can be described as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), an increasingly growing market, expected to reach the 200 billion-mark by the end by 2022 (pre-COVID predictions). SaaS is a software distribution model in which a third-party provider hosts applications and makes them available to customers over the Internet. Together with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) they make up the three categories of cloud computing. Next week six EIC-backed SMEs are going to pitch their innovations to top-notch investors from all over Europe, aiming to become the next ‘go-to’ software or ICT-solution. Those interested in joining can do so by clicking the following link on 16 June, 1 pm (CET).
