Open call for EIC-funded startups/scaleups on cleantech: Apply now to reach the USA market with the European Innovation Council!

The European Innovation Council (EIC) invites EIC-funded companies (SMEs, startups and scaleups) to apply for an exclusive Silicon Valley Immersive Programme for cleantech companies, as part of the EIC Soft-landing Programme. Following the success of the edition in Silicon Valley and San Francisco in May 2024, this programme will be held from 8-13 December 2024 in San Francisco.  

This immersive experience will provide a cohort of (maximum) 15 selected EIC awardees with the opportunity to receive a customised preparation to do business and improve current businesses in USA, obtain targeted market insights, connect with USA local domain experts, access to dedicated pitching and networking activities, and receive relevant introductions to key stakeholders within the San Francisco/Silicon Valley ecosystem including high level investors, corporates, and innovation hubs.

What’s in it for you? 

Selected EIC-funded SMEs, startups, and scaleups, will receive customised guidance and support tools to enter the US market:

Who can apply? 

This Programme is looking for EIC-funded SMEs, startups and scaleups working on innovative advancements in the following fields:  

  • Circular economy 

  • Environmental and Green technologies 

  • Low/nearly zero &-energy positive buildings 

  • Renewable energy sources 

  • Sustainable transport 

  • Waste management and recycling 

Application   

After logging in with your EU-Login credentials, please fill in the application form and answer all the questions.  

You will be assessed on the following criteria: 

  • Your plan to enter the USA market.   

  • The expected impact of your participation in the programme.   

  • The fit of your innovative products and services with the USA market needs.   

  • Your commitment of financial and human resources to participate in the programme.    

  • Your contribution to EU strategic autonomy as technology powerhouse.  

Please note that the information you provide on the application form will be shared with external experts in order to maximise potential benefits and ensure the effectiveness of meetings.  

The selection process will involve EIC market and technology experts along with a USA selection committee composed of VCs and industry leaders. 

About the EIC Soft-landing Programme 

The EIC Soft-landing programme provides exclusive business services to EIC-funded companies, such as matchmaking, pitching, mentorship support, tailored workshops that refine their USA market approach, and expert guidance that will pave their path to growth. Selected EIC-funded SMEs, startups and scaleups from EU Member States and Associated Countries have access to the Programme.
