EIC Service Catalogue Highlights: access the infrastructure you need to advance your technology!

Are you looking to test, validate or experiment with your technology? Do you need access to highly-specialized infrastructure to do so? This edition of the European Innovation Council (EIC) Service Catalogue Highlights may have just what you are looking for.

he EIC Service Catalogue gathers all the service offers from the EIC Partners. By forging new strategic partnerships with key actors such as business accelerators, incubators or research and training organisations, the EIC helps beneficiaries access their resources, facilities and expertise, so that no individual need is left unaddressed.

In this edition of the EIC Service Catalogue Highlights, we are bringing you a selection of the Access to Infrastructure & R&D Support offers available in the EIC Service Catalogue are provided by a selection of top-level organisations known as the EIC Partners. These services are tailored to EIC beneficiaries and Seal of Excellence (SoE) holders developing technologies in different stages and verticals. Users can find the ideal service by searching through the platform, selecting their preferred service category and adding extra filters, such as their funding instrument, TRL and sector, or even the country of the service provider.

This platform is powered by the EIC Ecosystem Partnership programme. Innovators can keep up with available services and relevant updates by subscribing to the EIC Service Catalogue Highlights.

EIC innovators interested in the services on the EIC Service Catalogue can also apply for financial support to cover their costs through the open call under the EIC ACCESS+ initiative.

1. Access to imaging technologies by Euro-BioImaging ERIC

Through this service, EIC beneficiaries and SoE holders can access comprehensive imaging and image data services tailored to accelerate R&D. This service enables companies to leverage world-class imaging facilities and know-how to enhance competitiveness and innovation capacity. This EIC Partners offers access to more than 120 cutting-edge imaging technologies across all scales, from atomic resolution to imaging of whole organisms, including humans.

2. Digital Factory as a Testbed by MEXT Technology Center

The Digital Factory offers cutting-edge facilities and tools, as well as +150 use cases, to support EIC beneficiaries in the development of their R&D projects and PoCs, especially for Industry 4.0 technologies and clean tech. The service is implemented offline and the duration depends on the technical details of each case.

3. GLP Toxicology by VectorB2B - Drug Developing

This service offers regulatory toxicology studies in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) to support the development of drugs, medical devices, and chemical products. Its duration depends on the complexity of the required studies, ranging from a few weeks to 12 months. The goal of the service is to provide reliable toxicological data accepted by regulatory authorities, essential for the submission of new drugs or product applications.

4. Multi-technique Material Science Service: access to European Analytical Facilities by CERIC - Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium

This service offers more than 60 different and complementary analytical and synthesis techniques and support laboratories in 11 countries, including synchrotron, neutron, ion beam, and NMR sources. EIC beneficiaries will also benefit from the in-house technical support provided by internationally recognised scientists. The service includes the design of the experiments, data collection, data analysis, and a report outlining the results, observations and implications.

5. R&D support within the AI and informatics in medicine by European HealthTech Innovation Center, Silesian University of Technology

Ongoing consultancy and R&D services in the broad field of medical systems, including the application of AI and VR, automation of data acquisition and analysis, and image recognition. Services may include software solution development, biomedical signal processing, bioelectronic system design and prototyping, and cognitive system development. The service can be delivered online, offline or in hybrid mode.

6. Cleanroom rental by Medace B.V.

Medace operates state-of-the-art, ISO-certified and GMP cleanroom facilities. This EIC Partner provides five ISO-7/ISO-8 and six Grade B and Grade C cleanrooms, all of them on a monthly basis. All cleanrooms are equipped with break-out panels, allowing to move in large equipment.

7. Technical and technological consulting by Centrum Badań i Rozwoju Technologii dla Przemysłu (CBRTP)

This service offers a 4-hour session to support individual EIC innovators in R&D topics. The session will be conducted by 2 CBRTP experts and aim to consult the beneficiaries’ technical and technological challenges and pains in the field of production processes or technology used. The service can be delivered onsite (at the EIC Partners’ facilities in Warsaw, Poland) or offline (depending on the topics covered). This service is free of charge, but travel expenses and expenses related to the use of technical equipment are not covered.

8. Training in Life Science Data, Bioinformatics, and Digital Transformation by ELIXIR Europe

This research infrastructure offers a wide range of training services in Life Science data, bioinformatics, high-performance computing (HPC), and digital transformation for academics, clinicians, and industrial partners. These trainings can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the EIC beneficiaries, or delivered free as webinars and workshops helping life scientists to exploit their own and publicly available data more effectively.

What is the EIC Service Catalogue?

The EIC Service Catalogue gathers a vast number of support services, from fundraising to acceleration, matchmaking, and even niche services such as intellectual property and legal support, infrastructure provision and many others. These services are tailored to EIC beneficiaries and Seal of Excellence holders and provided by the group of innovation ecosystem organisations known as EIC Partners.

The EIC Service Catalogue is brought to you by the EIC Ecosystem Partnership Programme. This programme is creating a network of partner organisations to address one of the greatest challenges for EIC innovators: accessing specialized sector-focused services. By forging new strategic partnerships with key actors, such as business accelerators, incubators or research and training organizations, the EIC helps its beneficiaries access their resources, facilities and expertise, so that no individual need is left unaddressed.

Can EIC beneficiaries receive financial support to cover the costs of the paid offers on the EIC Service Catalogue? 

EIC innovators can apply for financial support to access the paid services on the EIC Service Catalogue through an open call powered by the EIC ACCESS+ initiative.  

This call offers up to EUR 60,000 in grants, covering up to 50% of the costs to access specialised services available through the platform. This opportunity is available for EIC beneficiaries or Seal of Excellence holders under the Horizon Europe program.
