The EIC Challenge platform just received two fresh new challenges for which your innovation might present the right solution. On one hand, we have the #ChallengeMyCity initiative, with three cities (from Portugal and Greece) that have want to solve a series of challenges related with different mobility issues. On the other hand, Shell is promoting this year’s edition of the “New Energy Challenge”, which is an open innovation competition for startups and scaleups in the energy sector. #ChallengeMyCity
#ChallengeMyCity is a service, by EIT Urban Mobility, for European cities to test innovative mobility solutions that target their needs and can be integrated into their long-term mobility strategy. This year’s edition counts with the challenges of the cities of Braga (Portugal), Larissa (Greece), and Heraklion (Greece). Each city has identified a set of mobility challenges and is seeking solutions from businesses and entrepreneurs who can provide innovative proposals to tackle them.
Deadline for applications:
- Braga’s challenges: 8 May 2023 at 17:00 CET
- Larissa and Heraklion’s challenges: 29 May 2023 at 17:00 CET

New Energy Challenge 2023
The New Energy Challenge (NEC) provides an annual open innovation competition that connects promising global startups and scaleups in the energy sector with stakeholders to accelerate the decarbonisation of energy systems. The winning companies will be given the opportunity to connect with investors and experts, unlocking the knowledge, contacts, funding, and support needed to scale their business and help them to drive change in the energy system.
