About
Enel (Ente Nazionale per l'Energia Elettrica) is an Italian energy company dedicated to expanding electricity access and reducing regional disparities.
The Challenge
The challenge focuses on developing a super-resolution AI tool and algorithm to enhance the spatial resolution of Open Satellite Data. The solution aims to improve monitoring of renewable energy sites, detect new solar installations, and analyze urban conditions such as new or abandoned buildings. The goal is to demonstrate the algorithm’s ability to enhance image quality using freely available satellite data.
Reward
Winners will receive between $5,000 and $10,000, depending on KPI fulfillment, and may negotiate a PoC collaboration with Enel for real-world testing.
Timeframe
Proposal Submission Deadline: March 4, 2025.
A workshop dedicated to this challenge will be held on February 12, 2025.
