EIT RawMaterials is an innovation community supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. Its mission is to secure a sustainable supply of raw materials by driving innovation, education, and entrepreneurship across Europe’s raw materials sector. By mobilising a strong network of more than 300 partners from industry, research, and academia, EIT RawMaterials plays a central role in supporting Europe’s green and digital transition. For this specific call, successful applicants will receive funding of up to EUR 2.5 million per project, along with access to Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem in the raw materials sector, powered by EIT RawMaterials and the European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA).
The Challenge
The KAVA Call 13 seeks high-impact projects from start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs, and mining or recycling ventures that can strengthen Europe’s raw materials supply chains and advance sustainable, secure sourcing.
This call focuses on identifying and supporting solutions that enhance responsible mining, improve processing capabilities, and scale advanced recycling within Europe. It aims to support market-ready projects that are aligned with the EU’s green and digital transitions, and that contribute directly to increasing Europe’s resilience and competitiveness.
