Open Call - EIC Multi-Corporate Day on Health: Netherlands’s largest corporates open their doors for you!

The European Innovation Council Business Acceleration Services is glad to invite you to pitch your health innovations and discover business opportunities with four large Dutch corporates. Insurance provider Achmea, telecom giant KPN, electronic multinational Philips and transport hub Schiphol are gearing up to invite and listen to Europe’s most innovative SMEs. This engaging online event takes place on 1 and 2 February 2021 (09h00 to 17h00) and is your exclusive chance to accelerate your business with Netherlands’ finest.

 

The Dutch healthcare system has been ranked as one of Europe’s finest for many years. One of the key factors is the constant influx of innovative new services, products and applications.  To build on that, Schiphol, KPN, Achmea and Philips, four key Dutch corporates, are looking for start-ups with innovations in the health-sector, from more traditional fields like medicine and new types of surgery to aspects like healthy living, mental health and cybersecurity of healthcare systems (more details in the challenges below).

 

Additionally, the Dutch corporates are also looking for innovations covering other topics, such as mobility and climate tech. For more & detailed information please read below and on the EIC community. 

 

For those companies selected to participate on 1 and 2 February 2021 (09h00 to 17h00), this exclusive service will include specific training, pitching, pre-arranged meetings with top decision-makers from Achmea, KPN, Philips and Schiphol and the possibility to network with high-level partners and like-minded innovators in a dedicated online event.

The open application is only for EIC-funded SMEs. The final attendee list will be established based on needs and challenges of the Corporates.

Schiphol

KPN

Health Data Exchange platform

More medical data is generated every year and with it, the complexity of accessing the data increases as well. One of our missions is to make the data more accessible through an independent medical data exchange platform and we are actively searching partners to fuel the development and success of this platform.

Therefore we are looking for startups in three areas:

  • Data collection to enlarge and enrich the available data on the platform
  • Data analysis to gain additional insights in the data available
  • User interfaces enabling users (healthcare professionals, consumers etc.) to effectively access and apply the data

 

Digital Doctor

KPN aims to help General Practioners (GPs) with the shift to digital services. Enabling planning of consults, chat with your doctor and have video consults to unburden GP’s from their high workload. We want to offer a combination of these solutions and we are happy to talk to any solutions that can help with this. 

Therefore we are looking for startups

That enhance the digital transformation in the primary care. For example, through teleconsulting applications, web-apps for GPs to plan appointments or online triage solutions. 

 

Philips

  • Challenge 1

We are looking for start-ups that offer healthcare-specific cybersecurity and compliance capabilities and solutions for our customers who are providers and health systems and allow us to protect, secure and comply with rapidly changing healthcare technology adoption in hardware, on premise software, and cloud as well as shifting policies in areas as privacy.

  • Challenge 2

We are looking for start-ups that offer healthcare-specific AI-enabled propositions and allows us to enable higher Radiologists-Pathologists collaboration

  • Challenge 3

We are looking for start-ups that offer healthcare-specific AI-enabled propositions.

and allow us to reduce operational costs, improve quality and/or increase output via standardized digitally enabled workflows or clinical services. For example by:

  • Automatically creating perfect orders from referrals;
  • Identifying unwarranted variations in care and workflows to recommend optimization and standardization;
  • Enabling faster, shared decision making among caregivers across departments and by automation of report generation & results communication 
  • Challenge 4

We are looking for startups that offer healthcare-specific AI-enabled propositions 

and allows us to replace contrast enhanced imaging by non-contrast imaging using novel technologies

 

Achmea

Achmea has a multitude of challenges with the following topics:

  • Sustainable employability

  • Bring care home 
  • Climate proof with Climate tech
  • Enabling seamless transportation
  • Cybersecurity
  • Getting smart about your finances, taking charge of your money in an enjoyable way

  • Business compliance with the event.
  • Expected specific synergies/outcomes for your business.

Corporates, based on their business interests, will select the final participants among the applicants. To avoid any Intellectual Property-related conflicts, Corporates are inviting you to share only non-confidential information. The Business Acceleration Services will contact all applicants once the selection process has concluded. However, this contact does not include feedback or recommendations to not selected EIC companies.
