The EIC Accelerator beneficiary MySphera, a company revolutionising healthcare with an agile and automated patient flow, has closed up crucial deals leading to a duplication of their sales after their participation in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. Their mission to the trade show was facilitated by the EIC International Trade Fairs Programme 3.0, an  initiative of the EIC Business Acceleration Services supporting EIC-funded companies in entering new markets by showcasing their innovations at renowned global trade fairs.

As we prepare for MWC 2025, we reflect on the success of the 2024 edition with Salvador Vera, CEO of MySphera. In this interview, Salvador shares how the support of the EIC has helped MySphera expand its market presence, landing key meetings with international representatives from Asia and other global regions thanks to personalised business services including coaching, matchmaking, and networking opportunities.

You participated in MWC 2024 as part of the European Pavilion facilitated by the EIC International Trade Fair Programme 3.0, and achieved successful results. Could you tell us more about the deals that came out of this mission?

Salvador Vera: At the MWC, we successfully secured deals with two new partners and reached out to potential investors. We also connected with a hospital, expanding our customer base. The event itself was highly productive, I met numerous valuable contacts, which proved to be quite beneficial.

Overall, it was a very positive experience for us, especially since we typically focus on the healthcare sector. The event was well-organised, and thanks to the International Trade Fairs Programme, our team had several important meetings, including those with representatives from Asia and other continents.

What advice do you have for other companies participating in trade fairs?

Salvador Vera:

1) Organise your mission thoroughly: Ensure you are well-prepared not only for the scheduled meetings arranged by the organisers but also for the potential visitors who may stop by your booth.

2) Prepare in advance: Schedule meetings ahead of time and actively engage on social networks to build connections before the event. Preparation is crucial, as many companies often overlook this aspect.

What are your future plans for MySphera?

Salvador Vera: We have experienced significant growth. We also have opened an investment round supported by the EIC. Our goal is to further develop our market and advance to a Series B funding round.

The MWC event has been instrumental in our success, helping us double our sales and will likely contribute to our 2025 sales as well.
