The EIC Summer School is back and ready to roll! On 23 and 24 June 2025, the EIC Business Acceleration Services teams up with European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and it’s organizing a new edition of the EIC Summer School, this time focused on Cybersecurity. The novelty? It’s going to be held in person, in Athens (Greece), at ENISA’s premises, and it will equip EIC beneficiaries with the knowledge and tools to navigate the evolving cybersecurity landscape.  Got your interest? Securing cyberspace is a complex challenge due to various threats, including software attacks, intellectual property theft, identity theft, equipment or data theft, sabotage, and information extortion. Effective cybersecurity involves implementing technologies, processes, and controls to safeguard systems, organizations, and individuals against unauthorized access and malicious activity.

The EIC Summer School 2025 will focus on essential topics to help EIC beneficiaries thrive in today’s digital world: Cybersecurity. Held in person in Athens, Greece, on 23 and 24 June 2025, this exclusive Community activity will offer EIC beneficiaries the chance to gain valuable insights into the latest cybersecurity trends and strategies. Through engaging sessions and expert-led discussions, participants will enhance their knowledge on safeguarding their innovations and building cyber resilience. It’s also the perfect opportunity to network, build connections, and increase one’s visibility within the EIC community!

There is a limited number of spaces available: make sure to save the date and secure your spot once the call is open! Applications will open on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, and we will be welcoming EIC beneficiaries to apply to both sessions:

Session 1 - 23 June, from 14:30 to 18:30, in person, in Athens, Greece

In this session*, we will address guidelines and instructions on: 

  • Building custom awareness programmes for internal use within an organisation. 
  • Creating targeted awareness campaigns for external stakeholders. 
  • Instructions on selecting the appropriate tools and channels to effectively reach the target audience. 
  • Developing Key Performance Indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of a programme or campaign. 
  • A guide for the development of a communication strategy, crucial for achieving awareness objectives. 
  • An awareness raising quiz to test comprehension and retention of key information. 
  • An awareness raising game provided in different versions and styles, along with a guide on how to play.

Session 2 – 24 June, from 09:00 to 13:00, in person, in Athens, Greece

In this session*, we will address guidelines and instructions on: 

  • EU Cybersecurity framework
  • Report on the state of cybersecurity in the European Union

You will also get the chance to meet EIC-funded beneficiaries working on innovative solutions in the areas of Cybersecurity.

*final agenda to be shared in the open call for applications.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not consider as the target audience for this EIC Summer School EIC beneficiaries who are already experts in cybersecurity or who already work in the sector. We recommend the participation of individuals who work in a company and are involved in IT or in managing the security of your data.

How does it work?
To ensure a high-quality and interactive learning experience, participation is limited to a maximum of 40 EIC attendees. It is mandatory to attend both days of the event. The EIC will provide each participant with a €200 voucher as reimbursement for expenses related to attending and preparing for the training.
