Calling all the EIC Pathfinder researchers (from graduate students to team leaders and the coordinators) to save the date! The Pathfinder Unit of the European Innovation Council (EIC) is inviting you to attend the EIC Pathfinder Beneficiaries’ Day 2024, held online on 20 November 2024, to learn more about all the available services to you to support the exploitation of your Pathfinder results and on proactive project management.

Join the event to discover the range of services at your disposal to ease the first steps of the path to market of your Pathfinder results. The event will feature sessions on the EIC Business Acceleration Services, the EIC Women Leadership Programme, the Horizon Results Booster, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the European IP HelpDesk, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) services, and a few more.

The event will be opened by the EIC Board President providing an opportunity to participants to hear about the EIC Board, the role and vision of the EIC Board President. Participants will learn when, for what, who and how to apply to a given service and the expected outputs. You will also hear about the proactive project and portfolio management implemented by EIC Programme Manager with the EIC Pathfinder Project Officer support.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers via Sli.do and will learn for example but not exclusively on:

  1. the obligation of EIC Pathfinder grantees on the protection and exploitation of Key Exploitable Results (KERs);
  2. what is needed, what it takes to protect and translate a Pathfinder KER into a product or service for the market (e.g. IPR rights, value proposition, different business models, market analysis, building a team, regulatory issue, etc.) and specifically which first steps shall be taken;
  3. which services are available to you if you are a graduate student or post-doctoral researcher and you wish to take up the commercialisation of your research results;
  4. which services are available to you if you are an Associated Partner;
  5. what proactive management of Pathfinder Open projects is and what it practically means if your project is part of an EIC Pathfinder Challenge portfolio;
  6. what proactive management of Pathfinder Open projects is.

Who can participate?

All researchers of an EIC Pathfinder project including graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, senior researchers and team leaders in addition to the coordinators are strongly encouraged to follow the event.

Where can you find the agenda?

The agenda will be made available on the event's page once the event is launched. Follow the event page, the EISMEA X and LinkedIn accounts for news and updates.

Do you need to register?

The event is free of charge, but registration is required and is upon invitation. The coordinator of a Pathfinder project will receive an invitation to register and include all the researchers and team leaders from their project. If you are the coordinator, start to collect this information from the consortium. Once the information on the researchers and team leaders has been submitted by the coordinator, the researchers in the project will receive a confirmation message with the link to the event and some questions to be filled out.
