The PROTECT project supports the preparation of future candidate applications to a Pre-Commercial Procurement call by working both with the demand (public buyers) and supply side (providers) of Earth Observation (EO)-based climate services. The team will organise three virtual e-pitching sessions on 18 - 19 September 2023, followed by four virtual open market consultations on 15 - 16 November 2023, each focusing on a climate adaptation & mitigation challenge identified by public buyers of the PROTECT Community.

In this context, the PROTECT team will organise three virtual e-pitching sessions on 18 September and 19 September with the objective to:

  • Validate and enrich the findings of the mapping exercise you may have participated to, and the ongoing State of The Art analysis (Patent search, TRL level, etc.);
  • Briefly present the EO-based climate services you are already commercialising and/or your ongoing research & developments activities in the field of EO climate services that could lead to new innovative EO climate services.

In order to best assist you, EIC beneficiary, in the preparation of your pitch, the PROTECT team is also organising a briefing event with providers (participation is optional, but highly recommended) on 14 September to explain the preparation (template presentation, time allocation, etc.) and roll out process of the e-pitching sessions. By participating to this briefing event, you will also be able to ask specific questions and/ or raise specific concerns.

Following these e-pitching sessions, four virtual open market consultations will be organised on 15 November and 16 November, each focusing on a climate adaptation and mitigation challenge identified by public buyers of the PROTECT Community as a pressing issue for which no market solution has been identified yet. The exact timing of the four virtual Open Market Consultations will be announced very soon and discussed during both the briefing event and the e-pitching sessions, so stay tuned and do not forget to save your seat for these events!

What do you have to do in order to be a part of all these upcoming activities?

  • Step 1: Complete the solution description form HERE by 15 September 2023 at 11:00 CET.
  • Step 2: Register on this Eventbrite page. Please indicate whether you plan to attend the briefing event on the 14th of September and select the sessions time that you prefer either on the 18 or 19 September.
