Open Call – Present your innovations at the EIC ePitching on Cancer Prevention and Care

The European Innovation Council (EIC) is inviting all EIC-funded innovators developing solutions for cancer prevention and care to apply for an upcoming ePitching facilitated by the EIC Investor Readiness and Outreach Programme. On 25 February 2025, the selected beneficiaries will get to pitch online to a panel of high-level investors from Ananda Impact VenturesArmilar Venture Partners, BioGeneration Ventures, Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund, Bullnet CapitalClinical Research Ventures, EQT Life SciencesHigh-Tech Gründerfonds, Indaco Venture Partners Sgr, Invivo Partners, MIG AG, Panakès Partners, Supernova Invest, V-Bio Ventures, Verve VenturesXAnge, YAYA Capital, Ysios Capital and more to be confirmed.

Around 1.3 million people in the European Union (EU) lost their lives to cancer in 2020, making it the second leading cause of death across all EU Member States. While the EU has been working to tackle the diseases’ impact for decades, recent commitments, such as Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, have increased the demand for state-of-the-art technologies that can help effectively prevent, detect, diagnose and treat cancer.

The EIC ePitching on Cancer Prevention and Care will address this demand by introducing investors to some of the leading oncology technologies in the EIC portfolio.

What’s in it for you? 

If selected, EIC beneficiaries will get to pitch their innovations in front of top-level European investors with a history of backing cancer prevention and treatment solutions. Selected companies will also have the opportunity to benefit from exclusive pitch training and the possibility of being invited for one-to-one meetings and follow-up.

Online. Selected beneficiaries will receive a Zoom link to join the session. 
   
 

Who can apply? 

The EIC companies selected for/having received the investment component and which are working on solutions for cancer prevention and treatment. 

The eligible companies are: 

  • H2020 EIC Accelerator Pilot blended finance companies, which have received the grant and investment component; 
  • EIC Accelerator Horizon Europe companies. 

Please note that priority in the selection process might be given to EIC companies that have not participated in previous EIC Business Acceleration Investor Days or ePitchings, or raised capital in the 12 months prior to this ePitching. 

 
How can you be selected?  

In order to qualify for selection, you must complete all sections of the application form. Please make sure that the information completed allows the EIC to verify your eligibility for the call (i.e. fill in correctly the project number, acronym, etc.). 

Please note that your profile will be shared with the session’s jury members, who will base their selection on the information you submitted, as well as their investment preferences. Any information you submit is also liable to be shared in an upcoming call for investors, as well as an event brochure.

Cancellation policy

This opportunity is brought to you by the  EIC Investor Readiness and Outreach Programme,an initiative of the EIC’s Business Acceleration Services (BAS). The programme aims to enhance the investor readiness of EIC Accelerator innovators, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to attract investment and scale their ventures. Once ready, the programme also provides introductions to the best investors in their sector, namely through ePitchings and Investor Days.
