On 11-12 June, the European Innovation Council (EIC) brought together Clariane, the leading European community for care, healthcare and hospitality, and 14 cutting-edge start-ups from the EIC portfolio to work together on the future of healthcare and long-term care services. The selected EIC-backed companies, chosen by Clariane and trained by the EIC, presented their solutions followed by tailored one-on-one meetings with top corporate decision makers and experts to drive concrete business outcomes.
This acceleration activity, powered by the EIC Corporate Partnership Programme, has been designed to foster impactful connections between high-potential deep tech start-ups and the largest corporations in Europe, with the goal of enabling tangible partnerships, pilot projects, and investments.
The European Innovation Council plays a key role in bridging the gap between corporates like Clariane and innovative startups in the healthcare and care sectors. We are excited to explore partnership opportunities with EIC-supported startups and scale-ups that can accelerate the development of impactful solutions, improving care quality, and making life easier for our employees while enhancing operational efficiency.
- Sophie Boissard, CEO of Clariane.

The acting Director of EISMEA, Stéphane Ouaki, opened the pitching session, adding:
Clariane’s mission is deeply rooted in human-centric care, dignity, and well-being. This matches the European vision for innovation: it must be technology with purpose. Innovation must serve people. The EIC-backed scaleups selected by Clariane are working to deliver exactly that, and Clariane, with its scale, expertise, and vision, is the perfect partner to help bring these solutions to those who need them most.

For the participating EIC-backed companies, this EIC Corporate Day with Clariane offered a high-value platform to engage with senior Clariane representatives and their team of specialists, receiving valuable feedback on their solutions:
The support from the EIC has been exceptional from the very beginning. Without it, we wouldn't have had the opportunity to speak directly with Clariane’s top executives—something that would have been out of reach with our own resources alone.
- Nelson Oliveira, CTO, BESTHEALTH4U.

During this Corporate Day, we connected with many industry experts and received valuable feedback on our product. We were fortunate to meet engineers specialised in sensor technologies for elderly care. With the support we received—especially in refining our pitch—we’re optimistic about securing a deal with Clariane.
- Jesper Thuestad Jacobsen, Business Development Manager at Mode Sensors.
In addition to high-level networking opportunities, this exclusive acceleration initiative provides post-activity support to start-ups and corporate partners, helping to maximise the impact of business proposals and address potential roadblocks that may arise during negotiations.
