On 20 May in Brussels, from 2.00 to 6.30 PM, leading voices from EU institutions, the pharmaceutical industry, and public health organisations will come together to explore how to strengthen Europe's healthcare systems through investment and innovation. The event will open with a keynote by Sandra Gallina, Director-General for Health and Food Safety, focusing on building a resilient European Health Union and the role of the Critical Medicines Act.
Panels throughout the day will address key priorities, including pharmaceutical legislation reform, fair access to medicines, the potential of AI in healthcare, and securing the supply of critical medicines.
Speakers include high-level representatives from the European Commission, European Parliament, EMA, Zentiva, EFPIA, and EUPHA.
The final panel will look at how to enhance Europe’s global competitiveness in pharma and biotech, with an emphasis on research, pricing, and innovation-friendly regulation. This event offers a vital platform to align policy, public health needs, and industry strategies for a stronger, more sustainable healthcare future across the EU.
