On 6-7 March, a selected number of companies funded by the EIC pilot will have the opportunity to pitch their business to top European investors and connect with finance partners and Nasdaq representatives.
Applications for the event are opened to EIC pilot funded companies focused on deep technologies, specifically those in a growth stage, accordingly with the selection criteria described in the “Who can apply?” section below.
On 6 March, participants will have the chance to make a tour to the heart of Stockholm city and attend the networking dinner with key Nasdaq stakeholders, guest investors and jury members, other entrepreneurs and European Commission representatives.
On 7 March, 15 high-growth technological EIC pilot-funded SMEs will have the opportunity to pitch and present their business cases and ideas to a jury of top-tier European investors.
In addition, this event offers workshops on IPOs and how to go public, presented by experts from Nasdaq and certified advisors, as well as entrepreneurs from IPOed companies. In between workshops, pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings, lunch and coffee breaks will provide networking opportunities to connect with investors.
Your opportunities at the event
EIC Investor Days are designed to help entrepreneurs liaise with venture-capital programs, access exclusive investor gatherings and explore new ways of financing their business.
By attending this EIC Investor Day, you will have the opportunity to:
• Pitch your technology and business case in front of a world-renowned jury of European investors;
• Network with fellow EIC pilot funded SMEs and engage directly with top European investors;
• Make your company visible to the European investors’ community;
• Learn about the superpowers needed for IPOing;
• Receive personalised online training on pitching techniques before the event.
Who can apply?
The application is only opened for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises funded by the EIC pilot programme.
Being seriously committed to attend the event, including participating in the pitching training webinar and giving feedback via a short survey after the event, is mandatory for a successful application.
The final attendee list will be established based on the selection criteria below and the selected companies will be contacted.
You are working in Deep Technologies:
• Your company develops cutting-edge technologies that are built on tangible scientific discoveries or meaningful engineering innovations and are intended to solve complex problems that affect the real world. It can include, but it's not limited to: autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, deep learning and machine learning, robotics, smart home/cities, medical devices, clean tech, energy efficiency and many more developing or emerging application areas.
Ideally, your company is at an upscaling/growth stage:
• It is planning business expansion across borders (i.e., towards international markets);
• It is searching for new markets/customer segments, new distribution channels and/or upgrading its production process;
• It is expanding a set of activities that are ideally already working (e.g., expanding its activities in new markets/customer segments with the same product or platform);
• It is looking for further investment after having already received a successful Series A or equivalent round (EIC SME Instrument Phase 2 grant can be considered an equivalent round if the company fulfils the remaining criteria as well).
Please make sure to describe in the application form how your company fulfils the criteria above.
Based on the answers provided in the application form, a jury panel of 5-7 investors, supported by EIC Business Acceleration Services, will select the most suitable companies, to maximise the benefits and ensure the effectiveness of the pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings.
