Part of the European Innovation Council (EIC), the GHG initiative entails solidifying the phrase "climate action is a business case" and aiming to lower the carbon footprint of Europe's most innovative startups and scaleups in conjunction with Europe's largest community of innovators and researchers. This green journey also means that electrifying public vehicles and company car fleets is a top priority to further reduce one’s carbon footprint. So, save the date: on December 15, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:00 (CEST), we’ll host a webinar to present how electric and hybrid vehicles can help your company reach that much-desired level of decarbonisation.

Applications are open until December 10, 2021 (first come, first served).

Make sure to apply here!

The European Commission has given much attention when discussing and putting into practice a fossil fuel-free future. The intention to begin this mobility revolution is also linked with our daily lives: from the food we eat to the medicines required to keep us healthy. Therefore, this clear ambition to decarbonise the road transport sector and make a push towards ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEV) has become paramount for companies operating inside Europe to better understand how this will impact them.

Questions like ‘How can I reduce emissions from my company’s vehicle fleet’ or ‘What will be the associated cost?’ can often be motivation towards shifting from fossil fuel. Hence why, it has never been more imperative to make this sustainability commitment and make sure it’s good for our planet – and businesses.

That’s why the EIC GHG programme offers EIC beneficiaries the chance to assess, track and reduce their carbon footprint. The programme entails several different aspects, including a dedicated GHG tool to help you to quantify and measure your carbon footprint, monthly thematic and sectorial webinars, and other specific resources to support you with trustworthy mitigation measures further.

Take note: happening on December 15, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:00 (CEST), this webinar is for SMEs that want to know more about how to electrify their vehicle fleet and the benefits it can bring to your company.

The agenda will entail a 30min presentation followed by a 15min Q&A session. Plus, discuss:

  • Electric and hybrid vehicles: basics of the technology and powertrain types

  • The environmental footprint of electric and hybrid vehicles compared to conventional vehicles

  • How companies can reduce their carbon footprint by electrifying their fleet

  • Electric and hybrid vehicles in current (and future) EU road transport legislation

  • The charging infrastructure: how it works and what are the associated costs

  • The business case for electric and hybrid vehicles: analysis of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

  • Existing economic incentives to electrify your vehicle fleet

Remember: With limited places, the applications are on a first-come, first-served basis. Don't wait up, and make sure to join the EIC on this journey towards a carbon-neutral Europe!
