Part of the European Innovation Council (EIC), the GHG initiative entails solidifying the phrase "climate action is a business case" and aiming to lower the carbon footprint of Europe's most innovative startups and scaleups in conjunction with Europe's largest community of innovators and researchers. This green journey also entails knowing more about how biogas can contribute to the future of Europe’s energy supply. So, save the date: on 23 February 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 (CET), we’ll host a dedicated webinar to explore the most important aspects of Biogas and how it can significantly curb the greenhouse effect.

Applications are open until 16 February 2022 (first come, first served).

Make sure to apply here

Recent international events like COP26 and the sharp increase in global energy & gas prices showcase the increasing role renewable energies will take in the world energy supply - the biogas and biomethane sectors play a crucial part in this. Plus, the European biogas market is in full expansion, and it won't be slowing down anytime soon. Naturally, this creates risks and opportunities for companies in the European marketplace – which makes this webinar the place to be.

The EIC GHG programme offers EIC beneficiaries the chance to assess, track and reduce their carbon footprint. The programme entails several different aspects, including a dedicated GHG tool to help you to quantify and measure your carbon footprint, monthly thematic and sectorial webinars, and other specific resources to support you with trustworthy mitigation measures further.

So, take note: happening on 23 February 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 (CET), this dedicated webinar is meant to help further the Biogas discussion, and all its different drivers that contribute to its supply and demand.

The agenda will entail a 45min presentation followed by a 15min Q&A session, and will include:

  • A short description of the importance of renewable energies and biogas

  • An overview of the technical and practical aspects that contribute to the production of biogas and biomethane

  • Opportunities (and risks) for innovative companies in the field of biogas

  • The basics of the European biogas market

Remember: With limited places, the applications are on a first-come, first-served basis. Don't wait up, and make sure to join the EIC on this journey towards a carbon-neutral Europe!
