The e-pitching session in partnership with ESA gathered six companies supported by the European Innovation Council. The EIC-backed SME’s pitched their innovative ideas on Aerospace via webcam to an expert jury consisted out of representatives from Luxembourg Space Agency, NewSpace Capital, Barcamper Ventures, Mitsui & Co, CosmiCapital & Safran

Aerospace is rife with opportunities for start-ups and small businesses. The industry is being flooded with new players, taking to the skies on par with big corporations, offering innovative solutions and changing the future of the entire market. The e-pitching session from 3 March 2020 featured six SMEs: EnduroSat, Hiber, Danubia Nanotech, Klepsydra, Technology for Propulsion and Innovation and RHP-Technology GmbH

The companies had six minutes to pitch, discuss and clarify their innovative ideas. This was followed by a Q&A session allowing the investors to identify how each company matches their specific investment criteria.

Sarah Fleischer, Economic Advisor on Space Funding at the Luxembourg Space Agency, commented on the e-Pitching session:

“I think takes a lot of courage to do this, but everybody should be very proud of pitching. Everybody did a good job”.

Daniel Biedermann, Industry Advisory Board Member in NewSpace Capital added to this:

“It was a very interesting event and I think it was another testimonial of the dynamism and variety of the new space sector. Our sector is definitely growing in Europe”.

Yudai Yamamoto, from Mitsui & Co, described the event as “very efficient and useful to receive feedback from startups and trainers”.

“If you have other opportunities, I would like to attend more events”, he added.
