The European Innovation Council (EIC), through its SPIN4EIC initiative, in collaboration with the First Movers Coalition (FMC) is organising a matchmaking event, in the context of GITEX Europe in Berlin, on 21 May 2025.
The First Movers Coalition is a global initiative led by the World Economic Forum, which includes leading companies and governments, focusing on promoting the development and deployment of sustainable technologies of the future, in sectors such as energy, transportation, and industry.
This is a unique opportunity to pitch your innovative solutions for deep emissions reduction directly to private buyers from the FMC ecosystem — real industry leaders looking for the innovations of tomorrow!

Challenge description
The pitching challenge is focused on innovative technology and scientific applications that can support deep emissions reductions in the i) auto manufacturing, ii) aluminium, steel or cement manufacturing and iii) logistics & supply chain industries.
Who can apply?
All EIC Beneficiaries involved in pioneering products or services related to deep emissions reductions technologies, who have developed or are in the process of creating solutions for the challenge above are invited to respond to this call.

Applicants will be asked to upload a PDF pitching deck that outlines the problem and solution, market description, competition, and business model. Please note that the buyers will select their preferred solutions based on these pitching decks.
Next Steps
The buyers will select the most relevant companies, and their decision will be communicated in May.
A mandatory pitching guiding session will be organised during the second week of May for the selected EIC Beneficiaries before the event, to help you prepare your pitch and presentations.
Additionally, as part of this unique opportunity to pitch in front of buyers, tailor-made coaching support will be available on site for participating companies. On the first day of the event, experienced EIC Business Coaches will provide individual guidance in short, focused sessions, helping you refine and strengthen your pitch. Your pitch deck will be shared with the coaches in advance to ensure targeted feedback and support adapted to your specific case. This coaching is offered in addition to the pitching guiding session and is designed to give you that extra edge that can make the difference during your live presentation.
Costs
Selected companies will be able to participate in GITEX Europe free of charge. However, please note that travel and accommodation costs are to be covered by each participating company.
