The European Innovation Council (EIC) and Eurofins AgroScience Services (EAS) invite EIC startups to apply for an exclusive EIC Corporate Day. This opportunity, hosted by EAS - a leading global provider of testing services and regulatory consultancy to plant health, crop protection product manufacturers, the Agri-Tech sector, plant breeders and the seed industry - will be held in Niefern-Öschelbronn, Germany, on 15-16 April 2025.

Why apply?  

Organised under the EIC Corporate Partnership Program, this initiative provides selected EIC-backed innovators with:  

  • Tailored training, mentoring, and pitch preparation support ahead of the Corporate Day. 

  • High-level business 1-to-1 matchmaking sessions with privileged access to high-level decision makers within EAS and agrochemical industry key stakeholders.  

  • Industry insights and networking to unlock new opportunities and gain access to new markets. 

  • Post-matchmaking support will also be available to help maximise business outcomes. 

 

Who should apply?  

The call for applications is only open to EIC-backed SMEs, startups, and scaleups. 

EAS seeks disruptive AgriTech solutions, with a focus on enhancing food safety, sustainable agriculture, and crop protection. EAS is particularly interested in innovations with TRL 5 or higher that align with at least one of the following focus areas:  

  

  • Next-generation crop protection technologies and innovations, including (but not limited to) RNA interference (RNAi), peptides, microbials, as well as natural and plant-derived extracts. 

  • Sustainable plant nutrition, encompassing biostimulants (e.g., humic substances, marine macro-algae extracts, protein hydrolysates, microbial inoculants, seaweed, and plant extracts) and biofertilizers. 

  • Soil health improvement through the valorisation of bioproducts and biowastes into high-value bio-based products, such as biochar. 

  • Innovative plant breeding and seed technologies, including Marker-Assisted Breeding, Genomic Selection, Genome Editing, High-Throughput Phenotyping (HTP), bioinformatics, and related methods. 

  • AgriTech and precision farming technologies, leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) devices and sensors for data collection and analysis in agriculture, such as monitoring soil conditions, weather, and crop health in real time.

✔ Selection: EAS will evaluate applications based on business alignment and strategic fit. Only selected applicants will be contacted. 

 

Commitment required

Participants must be available for the entire duration of the program, which includes the preparation phase (online training sessions, pitch checks, and business proposal reviews), the event days (in-person) on 15-16 April 2025 in Niefern-Öschelbronn, Germany, and follow-up activities. Selected companies must be represented by C-level executives. Additionally, selected participants will be responsible for arranging and covering their travel and accommodation costs.  

 

About the EIC Corporate Partnership Programme

The EIC Corporate Partnership Programme supports EIC-backed companies looking to scale by securing new customers and business partners. To date, more than 1 200 EIC-backed start-ups and scale-ups, together with over 2 500 high-level representatives from more than 100 large companies, have taken part in the programme, resulting in significant impacts on organisations, tracking progress, and closing deals, often within 6 months.
