The EIC Pavilion is ready to feature the 20 most promising industrial pioneers at HANNOVER MESSE in Hannover, Germany from 17 to 21 April 2023. Before the commencement of world’s largest trade fair for industrial technology, the EIC sat with Ulrike Hammer, Senior Project Director Trade Fair & Product Management at HANNOVER MESSE, for a quick fireside chat. Ulrike highlighted the importance of EIC innovators in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and shared highlights on what to expect in the tradeshow.
What should attendees expect at HANNOVER MESSE 2023? Which areas/conference sessions would you recommend?
Ulrike: HANNOVER MESSE is a unique assembly of several verticals under the grand theme of industrial transformation – the result is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. You can imagine that the choices for our trade visitors touch upon every aspect of their business. So, my answer is, it really depends! Let us just say, no matter if you look for solutions in Industry 4.0, in AI and machine learning, energy management, hydrogen and fuel cells or for climate-neutral production, you will find it at HANNOVER MESSE.
You certainly do not want to miss the conference stages in Halls 2, 3, 8, 12, and 14 as well as Partner Country Night on Monday evening.
What added value does the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pavilion bring to the tradeshow?
Ulrike: As a supporter of game changing innovations, the EIC aligns perfectly with the DNA of HANNOVER MESSE! Thus, we really are natural partners. HANNOVER MESSE and its visitors stand to gain tremendously from the diversity represented by the EIC co-exhibiting companies. In terms of national backgrounds and range of applications being showcased, I am very excited to see what the EIC startups have in store!
For many years, HANNOVER MESSE has been promoting industry 4.0 as a way to optimise industrial processes. What does this concept mean to you and how can industrial transformation improve business efficiency?
Ulrike: Industrial transformation, to me, means a prosperous and sustainable future for all of us.
At this year’s HANNOVER MESSE, some 4,000 companies from mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as digital and energy industries, will showcase solutions for manufacturing innovation and the energy supply of the future. All of which, in their own way, will contribute to this year’s motto “Making the Difference.”
Any piece of advice that you would like to share with the EIC innovators, who will exhibit their impactful solutions in the event?
Ulrike: Bring your most comfortable shoes!
All kidding aside: It is very typical for exhibitors, especially our exhibiting startups, not only to hold meetings at their own booths, but also to venture out and extensively walk the show, strike up chance conversations and meet up with other exhibitors at their booths.
First-timers at the show need to be aware that HANNOVER MESSE certainly is bigger than your average trade show. Also, although it is trade show 101, I cannot stress enough: Please complete your online exhibitor profiles as extensively as possible and use your unlimited complimentary online ticket allotment. Experience teaches us that both of these simple measures will significantly increase success at HANNOVER MESSE.
HANNOVER MESSE constitutes one of the most famous global trade fairs and brings together five core industrial sectors (engineering, automation, energy, R&D and industrial IT) in one place. Under the leading theme "Industrial Transformation – Making the Difference", the flagship tradeshow hosts annually 66.400+ onsite attendees, 650+ speakers and 2.500+ exhibitors to demonstrate through their innovative solutions how industrial transformation contributes to the production of more efficient and sustainable resources.
Do not miss the opportunity to visit the EIC Pavilion at Hall 12 - Booth #B04 and get ready to be impressed with the latest tech advancements!
