The EPO-EIC training on Intellectual Property for deep tech businesses was held on 11 and 18 June 2025 January 2025 as a two-part online training, jointly organised by the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Innovation Council (EIC), with support of the European IP Helpdesk. If you were not able to attend the two sessions, or if you missed some parts of them, you can now count on the presentation materials – available on the EIC’s official website – and on the session recordings, also available for replay on the EIC Community YouTube channel (Session 1 and Session 2).

Overall, the training provided insights for EIC beneficiaries and the wider innovation ecosystem to navigate key IP challenges, ranging from developing a robust IP strategy to managing IP portfolios, understanding commercialisation pathways, and leveraging IP assets for investment, partnerships, and scale-up.
Throughout the sessions, IP experts from the European Patent Office offered practical guidance, real-world case studies, and hands-on advice.
