The Challenge

The challenge focuses on advancing cellulose-based packaging technologies that meet the stringent demands of healthcare and wellness products. It aims to explore: 

• Innovative barrier coatings and laminates that are recyclable or compostable 

• High-performance cellulose-based films, composites, and additives 

• Solutions that offer strong moisture and oxygen barrier properties 

• Packaging that aligns with global recyclability goals and carbon reduction targets 

The ultimate goal is to develop cellulose-based packaging with high barrier performance, strong regulatory compliance, and a reduced environmental footprint. 

Reward 

Successful applicants can receive a 6-month funded project, ranging from $25,000 to $100,000, including access to Haleon’s technical experts and the potential for ongoing collaboration and partnership development.
