Challenge: Advancing understanding of plant cuticle-fungicide interactions - BASF

Advancing understanding of plant cuticle-fungicide interactions - BASF
About
BASF is a German multinational and a global leader in chemicals, materials, industrial solutions, and agricultural innovations, with a strong focus on sustainability and scientific excellence.
The Challenge
The challenge focuses on understanding how plant cuticles influence the behavior and effectiveness of fungicides. It aims to explore:
- The composition and structure of plant cuticles and their impact on fungicide kinetics.
- The binding, accumulation, transport, and metabolism of fungicides on plant surfaces.
The ultimate goal is to develop methods, models, and experimental approaches to better predict and improve fungicide performance in agricultural applications.
Reward
Up to 12 months of funded research, up to 100-150k $ (proposal dependent)
Timeframe
Proposal Submission Deadline: 28 February 2025.
