The EIC Summer School officially returns this summer! On 23 and 24 June 2025, the EIC Community Programme, powered by EIC Business Acceleration Services, is teaming up with the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) to bring you a brand-new edition focused on cybersecurity. The training will be held in person at ENISA’s premises in Athens, Greece. EIC Pathfinder, Transition, and Accelerator beneficiaries will gain key insights, knowledge, and tools to protect their innovations from digital threats and navigate the evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Here’s a preview of some of the speakers who will be presenting during the training:
- Florian Pennings joined the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), in September 2024 as Associate COO to help the Agency achieve further impact, further develop its network, and assist in the implementation of the Single Programming Document focusing actively on its stakeholders within the existing statutory bodies such as the ECCG, SCCG and ECCC Governance Board. Before joining the Agency, he worked as Director for EU Cybersecurity Policy at Microsoft, in national and European government cyber and security agencies. He strategically coordinates impactful cooperation between industry and public stakeholders, supports the Agency concerning its public engagement and communication, and coordinates the Agency’s activities regarding the new mandate.
- Christina Skouloudi serves as a Cybersecurity Officer at ENISA. With a background in Computer Science and a Master's in Digital Systems Security, she has been advancing cybersecurity initiatives across the EU since joining ENISA in 2014, focusing on incident reporting, security emerging technologies and supply chain, capacity building, and cybersecurity education. During the past years, she has: Led Team Europe to consecutive first-place victories in the International Cybersecurity Challenge, managing recruitment, training, and strategic development of top cybersecurity talent; Developed and executed comprehensive table-top exercises and trainings for Member States and National Competent Authorities; Created specialized CTF challenges for european competitions, demonstrating technical expertise in multiple security domains. Currently, her efforts concentrate in promoting cybersecurity awareness across Europe through various coordinated activities and campaigns, such as the AR-in-a-Box.
- Alexandros Zacharis currently pursuing a PHD, brings over a decade of frontline experience in cybersecurity across European institutions. At ENISA, he leads initiatives on cyber resilience and risk management and has designed large-scale cyber exercises like CYBER EUROPE. He’s trained CSIRT teams across Europe, tackled threats to satellite infrastructure at the European GNSS Agency, and previously led security operations for GRNET-CERT. His research blends, software exploitation with AI and cyber defense, and his talks—from DEFCON to BLACKHAT ASIA —explore the evolving edge of digital threats.
- Katerina Christaki, is currently working at the Capacity Building Unit of ENISA with a focus on awareness raising and managing communities of interest. With a background in Information Technology but also Communication she is often the liaison between technical and non-technical audiences, dealing with communication, awareness raising and international relations in the field of cyber-security.
- Fabio Di Franco is working for the European Union agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) since 2017. He is the mastermind of the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF), the EU reference framework for cybersecurity skills and roles. He is currently leading the initiative around the ECSF and the mapping with regulatory framework and other policy initiatives. He is also responsible for developing skills in the EU member states and EU institutions through trainings and table-top exercises for cybersecurity professionals. Fabio has worked more than 15 years in public and private organizations and has a master and a PhD in telecommunication engineering. He is a frequent speaker to conferences and events and an advocate in order attract new talents to cybersecurity.
- Marianna Kalenti has over 20 years of experience in Strategic Communications, Awareness Raising, Stakeholder and Project Management, holding a BA in English Language & Literature, an MA in Political Communication & New Technologies, and a MEd in Adult Education.She served as a Communication Officer for EU co-funded projects, for 10 years, and later as a Strategic Communications Advisor to several public entities in Greece. In 2021, she joined the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), within the Awareness Raising & Education team and now the Capacity Building Unit.She has worked as a Public Awareness Specialist in the EU-funded project "Initiative on Digital Government and Cybersecurity in Horn of Africa countries", and is also an experienced educator and content writer. Currently in ENISA, Marianna is involved the management and governance of the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF), especially focusing on its review, enhancement and promotion, stakeholder relations, studies on the cybersecurity skills gap, and the organization of dedicated workshops and conference.
- Anna Sarri is a Cybersecurity Officer in the Policy Monitoring and Analyses Unit within the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity. She leads ENISA’s work on the development of National Cybersecurity Strategies (NCSS) across the EU. With a strong background in policy, stakeholder engagement, and strategic coordination, she supports Member States in strengthening their cybersecurity posture through maturity assessments, peer reviews, capacity building and other targeted initiatives.
- Stefano De Crescenzo is the Head of Operations and Situational Awareness Unit at ENISA the EU Cybersecurity Agency. Prior to that, he was deputy Head of Sector at the General Secretariat of the Council (GSC) for the corporate network and threat prevention services. Before joining the EU institutions he worked in the private sector for Cisco Systems where he had different roles within Security and Trust organization and Product Security Incident Response Team operations. Stefano De Crescenzo holds a Bachelor and Master Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, an Executive Master in Business Administration and he is CCIE Security, CISSP, CISM, CIPP/E, and CIPM certified.
- Josh Rosenthal operates at the intersection of software engineering and business strategy, bridging the gap between technical innovation and go-to-market execution. With a deep background in vulnerability detection and remediation across AppSec, CloudSec, DevSecOps, and ASPM, Josh now focuses on applying AI to enhance security tooling and developer enablement. He is best known as the co-founder of CloudSploit, the open source-core Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tool, which he scaled into a global brand using data-driven Customer Success-Led Growth (CSLG) strategies before selling it to Aqua Security.
- Endika Gil Uliarte CEO at Alias Robotics, a world leading robot cybersecurity firm with Headquarters in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Background as a researcher with a wide experience in academia, keen on the science and tech interface to create disruptive products. Contributor to new standards and speaker. Firm believer of safe human and automation cooperation and next generation - human centric - automation technology.
