About

The European Innovation Council (EIC) Business Acceleration Services celebrates the official kick-off of the Overseas Trade Fairs 2.0 Programme (OTF) and invites you to submit your application for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022. The trade fair will take place on 5-8 January 2022 in Las Vegas, USA. 

CES is a global consumer electronics and consumer technology tradeshow that takes place annually in Las Vegas. It offers a unique exposure for manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems and more. Numerous workshops, fruitful roundtable discussions, keynote speeches from industry leaders and pioneering thinkers aim at helping innovative startups and SMEs learn, grow and scale in today's evolving tech ecosystem.

If you are eager to showcase your distinctive products and services to global audiences, address crucial challenges of the emerging technologies sector and explore countless business opportunities, then CES is the ideal place to do business overseas. 

 

Applications are open until 9 September 2021.

 

What’s in it for you?

EIC-funded SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups who will be selected to attend CES 2022 will have access to unique business services, including pitching, matchmaking support, a free booth to exhibit their innovations at the EU-EIC Pavilion, mentoring services and reimburse 50% of all expenses up to EUR 1000 €.

 

Who can apply?

CES is looking for EIC-funded SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups working on innovative technologies in the following fields: 

- Smart Home and Appliances

- 5G Technologies: IoT, Sensors, Quantum Computing, Robotics

- Augmented and Virtual Reality/Artificial Intelligence 

- Mobile Hardware 

- Fitness & Wearables 

- Sports Technology/e-Gaming 

- Blockchain

- Digital Health 

- Big data-based solutions/Cybersecurity

- Marketing & Advertising 

- Cloud solutions and Cloud virtualisation

After logging in with your EU-Login, please fill in the corresponding form and answer all the questions.  

You will be assessed on the following criteria:

•    Your plan to internationalise your innovative products and services overseas.

•    The expected impact of your participation to the trade fair.

•    The fit of your innovative products and services with the trade fair.

•    Your commitment of financial and human resources for participation to a trade fair. 

Please notice that the information you provide on the application form will be shared with external experts in order to maximise potential benefits and ensure the effectiveness of meetings. 

The OTF team will then contact all applicants once the selection process has been concluded, and inform each applicants’ outcome. 

 

About the EIC OTF 2.0 Programme

The EIC OTF 2.0 Programme supports EIC beneficiaries to promote their commercialisation strategy in foreign markets and leverage business opportunities at the most popular trade fairs, strengthening the EU innovation brand around the world. Selected EIC-funded SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups from EU Member States and associated countries will have access to the programme.

The EIC OTF 2.0 Programme is running throughout 2022 and 2023, offering EIC beneficiaries the opportunity to attend 15 international trade fairs in different sectors across four extra-EU markets (China, South-East Asia, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America).

Cancellation policy

Cancellations will only be considered in duly documented cases of “force majeure”. Unjustified cancellation can lead to exclusion in future EIC Business Acceleration Services initiatives.
