Open call - Ready to make this winter more rewarding? Join the Winter School 2025 on Intellectual Property and Legal Strategies for Deep Tech innovations

Bring your cup of coffee and join us on 7 and 14 February 2025 for a new edition of the EIC Winter School, organised by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Business Acceleration Services. Don’t miss the opportunity to delve into a topic essential to innovation: Intellectual Property (IP) and Legal Strategies for Deep Tech innovations. Registration closes on 10 January! 

Divided into two online sessions, the EIC Winter School will offer EIC Pathfinder, Transition, and Accelerator beneficiaries the chance to delve into IP fundamentals, strategies, valorisation, patents, and legal security.

The sessions will equip you with crucial knowledge to protect and maximize the value of your Deep Tech innovations. Leveraging insights from seasoned experts within the EIC ecosystem, the sessions will help you in securing your inventions, avoiding legal pitfalls, and safeguarding your business from potential disputes.

  1. Intellectual Property Basics 

  2. IP valorisation 

  3. IP strategy

 

  • Friday 14 February 2025 | Session 2: Patent and business legal security, online. More details here. 

In this session the topics covered will be: 

  1. Patent basics and the Unitary Patent System 

  1. Contracting strategy for Deep Tech innovations  

  1. Differences between MoU, PoC and NDA 

 

Even though each training course is a standalone session with its own registration, we encourage you to attend both sessions. To guarantee a good learning and interactive experience, each session will be limited to a maximum of 40 participants. Priority will be given to the EIC beneficiaries who register to attend both sessions.  

The EIC Winter School will not be recorded. One beneficiary per EIC-funded project may attend (N.B: there is the possibility to delegate in case of inability to attend). 

Important: The selected participants will receive a confirmation via email by 17 January.  

 

Who can apply?  

All the EIC-backed innovators are welcome to apply, namely EIC Awardees from the EIC Accelerator, EIC Transition and EIC Pathfinder funding schemes.

The EIC Community Programme aims to gather EIC Community members in a space where they can share their experiences, providing access to peer-learning workshops and tailor-made training activities. Within this scope, the EIC Community Programme has several initiatives, such as: EIC Winter and Summer Schools; EIC Community Talks and EIC Welcome and Coordinators Days.
