In this episode, we discuss a radical innovation in the field of health and biotechnology, which drastically speeds up the testing time for antibiotic resistance for tuberculosis. EMPE Diagnostics, the company behind this breakthrough, has acquired joint funding from the EIC and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to develop, commercialise and scale up. On the panel are Iordanis Arzimanoglou, EIC programme manager for health and biotechnology and medical molecular geneticist, and Pavan Asalapuram, the co-founder, Vice-CEO, EMPE Diagnostics, and pharmacist and clinical biotechnologist.
