Following ARSPECTRA’s remarkable participation at Arab Health 2023 in the context of the EIC Overseas Trade Fairs (OTF) Programme 2.0, the company marked significant business growth and established partnerships with industry leaders. Exhibiting under the EU Pavilion, the General Manager of ARSPECTRA, Cedric Spaas, describes the positive experience  and shares insightful tips for a successful presence in high-level business events.

What is the business impact created following your participation in the trade fair? Is there any milestone achievement to announce?

CS: As a younger company with a first focus on the European and American markets, Arab Health represented an important opportunity to evaluate and reach out to the Middle Eastern and other global markets. As one of the key trade fairs in the medical industry, it opened up new collaborations with regards to distribution, commercial outreach, as well as new technologic partnerships.

To what extent OTF 2.0 helped you in achieving your organisation goals and business growth?

CS: The new distribution and technologic partnerships represent a relatively important potential for further growth beyond the primary European and American markets. Through partners, Arspectra’s solutions gain larger outreach on the global markets, both within the Middle Eastern region, and beyond.

From your experience with OTF 2.0, what business aspects do you think exhibitors should consider when preparing for tradeshows, both locally and internationally?

CS: The main thing that we noticed from our experience with OTF 2.0 is that exhibitors should consider important differences, as well as similarities, can show up with regards to the regulatory, legal, and commercial go-to-market requirements for medical devices. Partnerships with local players strongly facilitate and accelerate access and growth.

What are your ambitions and future expectations for the company after OTF 2.0?

CS: Our ambitions and future expectations are continuing the outreach to the Middle Eastern and global markets through partnerships.

Finally, could you offer any additional tips to prospective applicants?

CS: Arab Health is one of the global trade fairs that gathers a large variety of important stakeholders to the global growth of SMEs. Come well prepared and focused on the key elements of interest, while enjoying the large diversity of global medical technologies and medical device firms present.
