On 1 June 2022, the European Innovation Council (EIC) successfully hosted an online preparatory workshop for the official delegation of the European companies to showcase remarkable solutions at Florida International Medical Exhibition (FIME) in Miami, USA.
Under the EIC Overseas Trade Fairs (OTF) Programme 2.0, the aim of the workshop was to support 20 European SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups in the medical sector throughout their preparation prior to the trade fair. The selected participants acquired precious insights on the current market trends, regulatory environment, as well as entrepreneurial culture of the economic region of the USA from innovation experts and business leaders.
The agenda contained briefing sessions dedicated to practical aspects of the EIC OTF Programme 2.0 (logistics, customised and standard services offered) to ensure a successful business mission.
During the workshop, the European innovators capitalised on the opportunity to network and share their experience on how to establish strategic partnerships with international peers and thrive on a global scale.

FIME 2022: Connecting the global healthcare community
The Florida International Medical Exhibition (FIME) will be held as an in-person event from July 27 to July 29 in Miami, USA, gathering thousands of medical device and equipment manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, distributors and healthcare professionals.
The prestigious tradeshow provides a strong business platform to more than 500 exhibitors from more than 40 countries, including country pavilions to exhibit breakthrough innovations and solutions. Several multi-disciplinary educational business conferences will run in parallel with the exhibition, focusing on the latest trends and opportunities within the global medical device market space.
