Build the future of construction with Ferrovial, Acciona, Sacyr and Vinci

The European Innovation Council (EIC) is inviting EIC-backed startups and scaleups to apply for an EIC Multi-Corporate Day with construction and infrastructure leaders Ferrovial, Acciona, Sacyr, and Vinci. This exclusive business acceleration initiative will offer the selected EIC-beneficiaries a curated preparation and dedicated guidance to maximise their opportunities to do business with decision makers of some of the largest corporations in the construction sector, including networking and pitching activities to be held at one of the most relevant events in the startup/scaleup ecosystem, the South Summit, in Madrid (Spain) next 4-5 June 2025. 

APPLY by 18 April 2025  

The services provided by the EIC to the selected EIC-backed companies includes dedicated training, mentoring, pitch dry runs, and further support to present their solutions in an in-person pitching and matching session on 5 June with the corporations' decision-makers during South Summit. Finally, EIC companies will also benefit from post-event support to maximise the impact of their business proposals, participating in a high-level networking dinner during South Summit and tickets to participate in the main event.  

Ferrovial, Acciona Sacyr and Vinci are global leaders in the construction and infrastructure sectors, with a combined presence in over 120 countries. These companies are involved in the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of transport, urban, and service infrastructure. With a collective workforce of over 400 000 employees and a combined revenue of more than EUR 85 billion in 2023, these companies are committed to driving innovation and sustainability in the built environment.

The selected EIC-backed companies will benefit from: 

• Personalised preparatory support, including a group session with Ferrovial, Sacyr, Acciona and Vinci, a 1-to-1 session with business experts, high-quality feedback to adjust the pitch deck, pitch dry run, and business proposal review.  

• Selected candidates will be invited to the South Summit on 4-6 June, including tickets and the participation in a networking dinner. 

• Privileged access to high-level decision-makers within Ferrovial, Acciona Sacyr and  Vinci.  

• Knowledge-sharing and networking for future business.  

• Possibility to initiate collaborations, strategic partnerships, or enter new markets with Ferrovial, Acciona, Sacyr and Vinci.

Ferrovial, Acciona, Sacyr and Vinci are looking for disruptive technologies and innovative solutions that can revolutionise the construction and infrastructure sectors, with a focus on sustainability, digitalisation, and enhanced productivity for construction and highway management.

  • Decarbonisation and sustainable materials. 

  • Water management and environmental conservation. 

  • Digital tools for sustainability and resource management. 

  • Logistics, Operations and workforce management. 

• Future construction and infrastructure technologies driving enhanced productivity (on-site and off-site): 

  • Advances in construction and automation. 

  • Smart project management and digitalisation. 

  • Geotechnical and excavation optimisation. 

  • New materials. 

Specific highway technologies 

• Connected and autonomous vehicle solutions. 

• Reality capture and connectivity. 

• Health and safety solutions. 

• AI and autonomous highway construction and design solutions.

Please acknowledge that the information you provide on the application form will be shared with Ferrovial, Acciona, Sacyr and Vinci, who will select the participants based on their business interests and strategic goals.  

What happens after your application? 

The EIC team will contact all selected applicants once the process is finished. However, this contact does not include feedback or recommendations for those not selected. 

If selected, participants must be available for the entire duration of the programme, which includes the preparation phase (online training sessions, pitch checks, and business proposal reviews), the event days (in-person) on 4-5 June 2025 in Madrid, Spain, and follow-up activities. Selected companies must be represented by C-level executives. Additionally, selected participants will be responsible for arranging and covering their travel and accommodation costs. 

All participants are expected to fill out a brief satisfaction survey shortly after the matchmaking opportunity and a business impact survey after six months. Failure to do so may lead to exclusion from future EIC Business Acceleration Services. 

Cancellation policy 

Cancellations will only be considered in duly documented cases of "force majeure". Unjustified cancellation can lead to exclusion in future EIC Business Acceleration Services business opportunities. This call and service are part of the EIC Corporate Partnership Programme, an initiative of the EIC Business Acceleration Services supporting EIC-backed companies looking to scale by securing new customers and business partners. To date, more than 1 500 EIC-backed start-ups and scale-ups, together with over 2 500 high-level representatives from more than 100 large companies, have taken part in the programme, resulting in significant impacts on organisations, tracking progress, and closing deals, often within 6 months.
