Challenge: Improving delivery and bioavailability of micronutrients in supplements by Haleon

Improving delivery and bioavailability of micronutrients in supplements
About
Haleon is a global consumer health company based in the United Kingdom, with deep expertise in science-led innovation across oral health, pain relief, respiratory, digestive health, and vitamins.
The Challenge
The challenge focuses on improving the absorption, stability, release, and bioavailability of key micronutrients in orally delivered vitamins, minerals, and supplements (VMS), enabling more effective and personalized nutritional support. It aims to explore:
- Approaches with a clear rationale for how they improve absorption, bioavailability, stability, or targeted release of nutrients
- Delivery systems that are compatible with commonly used VMS ingredients and formats, or demonstrate a clear path to compatibility
- Technologies with a reasonable basis to be considered safe for ingestion
The goal is to identify safe, ingestible delivery technologies - adaptable to VMS products - that improve micronutrient absorption, stability, release, or bioavailability.
Reward
Successful applicants can receive a 6-month funded project, ranging from $25,000 to $100,000, including access to Haleon’s technical experts and the potential for ongoing collaboration and partnership development.
