The project MASLOWATEN won the “best pitch” competition at EASME's “Promoting market-ready water innovations – Investors’ café”, an event dedicated to exploitation, investment and market uptake of eco-innovative solutions in water and circular economy. The project is dealing with the market uptake of an innovative irrigation solution based on low water energy consumption.

The Spanish project ECUVal aims to implement an innovative wastewater treatment system that could solve the problems of textile wastewater, one of the main water consumer industries, which is generating high volumes of wastewater with high levels of coloration and salinity.

EIC pilot funded company Kunak Technologies SL installed today its first air quality device at Stade Louis II in Monaco. The company will provide six more devices that will be installed on athletics tracks around the world in the coming months as part of a pilot programme designed to highlight the need for clean air.

BuntPlanet and Siemens have signed a sales distributorship agreement. With this agreement, the two companies provide a comprehensive portfolio on equipment, software and services offering advanced solutions for the water industry, especially for the water leakage detection. This will amplify to reduce water losses, secure the water supply and increase efficiency significantly. With this cooperation, both partners will make a major contribution towards securing sustainable water supplies worldwide.
With oceans becoming clogged by plastics, companies are introducing eco-friendly consumer products to take advantage of the public growing concerns over plastic waste. Most of the plastics are actually packaging. This problem has been addressed by some biodegradable solutions such as bioplastic, paper or even bamboo containers. However, they still need at least half a year to degrade. Warsaw-based manufacturer Biotrem is making more than 10 million pieces of biodegradable disposable (single-use) tableware and cutlery that compost — without need for industrial composting facilities — within 30 days.

Scaling a company further is unforeseen on solving a number of challenges – most of those being common across all organisations out there. 96 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from 20 countries gathered to share their experiences during the EIC Accelerator Welcome Day.
