The EIC-funded company BotsAndUs announced a partnership with British Airways to provide a solution that will reduce travel stress by assisting all passengers with relevant information to their journey and airport stay. The robot Bill will interact with customers in multiple languages and escort them to locations such as cafes, toilets, meeting rooms and family check-in zones.
KnowBe4, the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training (SAT) and simulated phishing platform, announced the acquisition of CLTRe - a Norwegian company focused on helping organizations assess, build, maintain and measure a strong security posture. CLTRe will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary of KnowBe4, and service customers globally. CLTRe’s Toolkit and Security Culture Framework will be available to all KnowBe4 customers later this year.
Biometric technology company European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot’s funded company Zwipe marked on January 28th the first day of trading of its shares on Oslo Stock Exchange’s Merkur Market under the ticker symbol ZWIPE-ME. Zwipe received a Phase 2 grant from the EIC pilot SME Instrument in 2018.
EIC pilot funded company Billon is one of the three winners of the Global FinTech Accelerator by Monetary Authority of Singapore, part of Singapore FinTech Festival. The company was awarded for its zero-cost transaction DLT platform, opening the $3T micropayments market to financial institutions. The 12-week acceleration program and the jury's verdict confirm Billon's solutions to be a great fit for ASEAN market.
A total of 65 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) form 16 countries have been selected for funding under the latest round of the SME Instrument. The companies will receive a total amount of €113 million to share between their projects to get their innovations faster on the market.
