Why apply?

The European Startup Prize will offer a unique acceleration and investment programme for the top 10 and Special Prizes. The competition will offer: 

1. Investment opportunities: 

  • Demo Day (powered by ViaID): Winning startups will present their solutions & products to 150+ public and private European investors.
  • European Investment Bank’s Pitch Day: Winning startups will have a chance to be screened and invited -if applicable- to a dedicated investment committee*.
  • EIT InnoEnergy’s Pitch Day: Winning startups will have a chance to be screened and invited -if applicable- to a dedicated investment committee*.

* Invitation will be extended to the 5 startups selected by our partners EIB and EIT InnoEnergy.

2. Visibility and International Recognition: 

  • High-level Final Ceremony: Winning startups will be invited to present at high-level production, broadcast by the Brussels Times (+300K viewers in 2021) together with VIPs and representatives from all our EU institutions partner organisations.
  • Electronomous - The International Mobility Summit 2022: Winners will be awarded free physical and virtual booths, pitch competition with an international panel of investors and workshops. The event will take place on September 27-29th at the Bella Centre, Copenhagen, Denmark.
  • ITS EUROPEAN CONGRESS ERTICO ITS Europe and Toulouse Métropole will proudly host winners at the European ITS Congress in the Centre of Toulouse, from 30 May to 1 June, 2022. Physical booths will be offered at the newly built Exhibition and Conference Centre MEETT.

3. Mentoring: 

  • Top business and legal coaching (powered by BCG): Winners* will gain free access to a one-to-one mentoring programme with our co-founder Boston Consulting Group and its international team of experts in order to build up an international strategy to scale up across Europe.
  • All year round mentorship: Online tailor-made workshops will be provided with a deep focus on EU opportunities for funding and will explore different tech local ecosystems in Europe

* Invitation will be extended to the TOP 4 startups appointed at the Final Ceremony.

4. Advocacy: 

  • European Mobility Startup Manifesto 2022: Winners will co-create a green paper in order to boost smart and sustainable innovation, together with our large community of startups (1500+), and present their solutions and ideas to the European Union’s decision makers in a live event (150,000+ views in 2021).
