As anticipation builds for the EIC Summit 2024, EIC Business Acceleration Services (BAS) team is gearing up to contribute with a substantial presence at this year’s EIC Summit  which takes place from 18 to 20 March as part of the Research & Innovation week in Brussels.

Under Horizon Europe, the EIC support goes far beyond funding, and it aims at accelerating EIC innovations and growth of top deep tech companies. To further leverage the EIC investments, as EIC funded researcher, innovator or entrepreneur, EIC beneficiaries are provided with access to a range of tailor-made EIC Business Acceleration Services (BAS) at any stage of development of their activities and of the EIC research and innovation cycle.  

Meet the EIC Business Acceleration Services team at the EIC BAS stand

One of the highlights of EIC BAS presence at the EIC Summit will be its dedicated stand at the summit venue. Serving as a central point of contact, the BAS stand will offer attendees information, guidance, and networking opportunities. Visitors can expect to engage with the EIC BAS representatives, learn about our 13 different services and programmes, and explore partnership opportunities.

Day 1: March 18 Three satellite events will connect beneficiaries

Three satellite events (invitation-only) will be hosted by the following programmes:

EIC Tech2Market programme, the EIC Women Leadership Programme, the EIC Ecosystem Partnerships and Co-Investment Support Programme.  

These events serve as platforms for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and investment matchmaking. With a focus on fostering meaningful connections and driving innovation, BAS is committed to facilitating impactful interactions at these satellite events.

 

Day 2: 19 March EIC Business Acceleration Services Track (Workshop Room 4)

It’s EIC Beneficiaries day! Discover the range of EIC Business Acceleration Services attending these four workshops. Each workshop offers unique opportunities for innovators to foster inclusivity, scale up operations, and harness the power of innovation. 

10:15–11:00 EIC Business Acceleration Services: Discover EIC support beyond funding!

Have you received funding from EIC? EIC can offer you much more! Join this session to learn how EIC BAS can help you access corporates, investors, innovation procurers, and connect you with best accelerators, incubators, venture builders, or business partners at international trade fairs. This one-stop-shop session will provide a comprehensive overview of all EIC Business Acceleration Services.

11:30–12:15 Fostering an inclusive organisational culture with EIC Women Leadership Programme

Join this interactive workshop to explore and enhance inclusivity in your workplace. Discover the factors that shape organisational culture, and understand the role of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB). Through a collaborative exercise, you’ll uncover practical strategies you can use to foster DEIB in your company.

12:30–13:15 Scaling up in Europe and beyond

Explore strategies for navigating diverse markets and unlocking opportunities for sustainable scalability.

14:15–15:00 and 15:15–16:00 Accelerate Your Business with Innovation Procurement

Discover how to accelerate your business through the EIC Innovation Procurement programme and connect with global markets in an exclusive SPIN4EIC workshop followed by dynamic matchmaking events. Witness first-hand the dynamic matchmaking event where EIC beneficiaries connect with leading global companies participating in the prestigious First Movers Coalition, a World Economic Forum initiative. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the experts and experience the real-time showcase of Innovation Procurement’s power in scaling up innovators.

 

Day 2, 19 March, Skills Track (Workshop Room 3)

For instance, one of the most challenging tasks for any entrepreneur or business owner is to convince investors to support their venture. These pitches typically involve outlining the business idea, showing its potential for growth and profitability, and negotiating investment terms with the investors, often referred to as ‘Dragons’. BAS will conduct specialised training sessions on How to Prepare for Your Dragon’s Den Pitch, providing participants with invaluable guidance on crafting compelling pitches that resonate with investors.

 

Day 3, 20 March: EIC Community Training on Financial Modelling (EIC beneficiaries only)

This EIC Community Training on ‘How to build a solid and sustainable future for your startup: Financial modelling for Seed, Series A and B rounds’ will provide innovators, entrepreneurs, and startups from EIC Accelerator with the essential tools and knowledge needed to identify, secure, and manage funding that aligns with their vision. EIC beneficiaries (Pathfinder and Transition) from early-stage companies and innovation projects will learn the best practices for valuation – establishing a quantitative measure of their company’s worth to attract compatible investors.
