European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot’s funded company Elliptic Labs was listed as CES 2019 hottest new tech for it's demo a radar-like system that lets smart speakers detect their owners' approach.

CES is the world's gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies and is powering up again in Vegas. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for 50 years — the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace.

The event is owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and attracts the world's business leaders and pioneering thinkers.

Elliptic Labs is the world leader in ultrasound sensing software for smart devices, enabling touchless interactions and gesture interpretation. INNER MAGIC and INNER REFLECTION (IMIR products) are the first-of-their-kind integrated solutions for non-intrusive user presence detection and intuitive gesture recognition, transforming smart devices into genius devices.

At CES, Eliptic Labs technology is suggesting that tech could be used to trigger daily reminders or to make the speakers adjust their volume according to how close the person is.
