Due to popular demand, the European Innovation Council (EIC) SME Instrument’s Academy workshops will be back after the summer to offer practical help and support to companies looking for hands-on training on how to scale-up. The workshops are open to all EIC pilot-funded small and medium-sized enterprises.
They are extremely interactive, tailored for each new group of participants, and designed to invite in-depth sharing of personal experiences, active participation and real-world problem solving. You will have the opportunity to interact with peer companies and get advice and training from leading industry professionals.
Workshops are being held at the following dates and locations:
- Seeking investors
Milan 25/26 September: selecting the best-fit funding through to negotiating the deal
- Working with corporates
Milan 26/27 September: discovering and developing effective and profitable collaboration deals
Why should you attend? During the first noon-to-noon workshop, you will receive an overview with case studies of funding options for growth, the full range from banks to venture capital, including practical information on deal terms and documentation. You will be able to decide on what funding (equity and debt, and hybrid) best fits your needs for growth and sustainability, and how to develop effective offers and responses to investors. You will also gain understanding of typical documentation, diligence procedures, and investor requirements.
In the second noon-to-noon workshop, you will learn how to find, how to engage with and how to collaborate with major corporate companies, for open innovation and as business partners.
During the workshops you will exchange experience in small groups with other companies and your own business coaches.
Why register early? Because there are only 15 to 20 spots available for each workshop and demand has been understandably high.
