On 23 June 2020, the Swiss multinational healthcare company will hold its 5th Partnering for Innovation Summit in a virtual format with the special collaboration of the European Innovation Council (EIC). In this online event, Roche will continue the conversation around transforming healthcare and take a different angle to focus on “how to build a sustainable ecosystem to drive innovation”.
Jean David Malo, Director of the European Innovation Council, will participate in the opening panel together with the Vice-Chairman of Roche, Andre Hoffmann, and other high-level speakers. The event will include inspirational talks, a virtual marketplace with 100+ startups, live pitching sessions & a hackathon to solve health business challenges in co-creation with patients & external experts from the innovation ecosystem.

On a yearly basis, Roche organises an internal Innovation Summit to inspire, connect, develop and advance their organisation. This year, the pharmaceutical giant will also meet EIC-funded SMEs and participate in the EIC Corporate Day initiative. From 22 till 25 June 2020, a limited hand-picked number of EIC companies will have the opportunity to pitch and present their innovative solutions and to engage in One-to-One Business meetings with Roche representatives. On top of that, Roche opens the doors to their Partnering for Innovation Summit, with workshops, a marketplace, discussions and keynote speeches. EIC-funded SMEs will have to opportunity to attend this Summit, of which the EIC Corporate Day is a part of.
The Partnering for Innovation Summit will also include virtual networking sessions and offer the possibility to join Roche’s Innovation Registry for future matching with Roche's business challenges. The Roche Basel Innovation Group, in collaboration with Roche Innovation Lab, is interested in collecting interesting companies/start-ups in their Innovation Company Registry.
