Events: 6 EIC-funded companies are about to take off

A limited number of EIC-backed up SMEs will have the chance to show their innovative solutions in Aerospace to the Luxembourg Space Agency, NewSpace Capital, Barcamper Ventures, Mitsui, CosmiCapital & Safran. Discover the six EIC-funded companies that will present their business innovations during our e-pitching session, on 3 March 2020, from 12:00 to 1:30 pm (CET). 

 

Dozens of startups kick off in this sector and most of them struggle to overcome the business challenges and staggering their innovations to a wider audience. For some aerospace startups might be difficult to get off the ground, but there has been an upsurge of interest in investors in this industry. Here are the six EIC funded companies that will pitch innovative ideas and share their aerospace usage: 

 

EnduroSat is the only satellite company in Bulgaria with a strategic mission to develop innovative services and products in the field of Space Technologies. The company has developed a unique software-defined NanoSats and satellite communication systems, bringing a paradigm improvement in payload data services accessibility and cost. 

 

Hiber’s mission is to bring easy, affordable access to IoT (Internet of Things) connectivity to everyone. For Hiber, IoT isn’t smart homes linked to smartwatches. It’s bringing IoT to areas where there’s never been affordable cellular access or Wi-Fi. The company is creating the first global Internet of Things network using low-cost low-orbit satellites. 

 

Danubia Nanotech is an expert on carbon-based nanomaterials, with a focus on graphene-based technologies, particularly sensors. The company based in Slovakia has received Phase 1 Grant from the European Innovation Council for the go-to-market feasibility assessment of its graphene temperature sensor for EV batteries. The thin-film areal graphene sensor monitors the temperature directly on the surface of the battery cells and helps to improve battery efficiency and life. 

 

Klepsydra is a friendly and accessible software framework aimed at building high performance and quality space, robotics, aerospace, autonomous vehicles and IoT embedded applications. Klepsydra reduces development times by 50% and speeds up data processing by 40%. Their primary market is the space industry, which is segmented globally. 

 

Technology for Propulsion and Innovation provides the space market with innovative propulsion systems and services and develop new disruptive space technologies to answer demanding aerospace market requests. The key products from the Italian company are electric and chemical propulsion systems for in-space and launcher applications. 

 

RHP-Technology GmbH is a material and solution provider of powder metallurgy with 15 years of experience in the design, development and commercialisation of customised products within advanced powder processing techniques. The developed process from the Austrian company can be used to realize three different demonstrators (case studies) and to perform testing of the manufactured prototypes under space relevant testing conditions.
