In order to help European Tech SMEs take the next step, Euronext decided to go beyond its domestic markets and deploy, hand-in-hand with players of the local ecosystems, a tailor-made offer in Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

Euronext is well aware of the growth potential, financing requirements and sector-specific needs of tech companies and has decided to ramp up its support for these innovation businesses. Consequently, Euronext has developed a series of initiatives to help you take the next step such as an educational programme, TechShare, that helps Tech SMEs leaders to familiarize with capital markets.

Learn about the financing journey
On 15 May 2019, a selected number of companies funded by the EIC pilot will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding on how to prepare a company for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and pitch their business to top European investors at Euronext in Paris.

40 SMEs will be selected for the event and will have the unique chance to join a Serious Game on IPOs and learn more about the challenges and the step-by-step process of going public, guided by a team of advisors from Euronext. From the 40 SMEs selected for the event, 12 will have the chance to pitch their business cases and ideas to a jury of top-tier European investors.

One-to-one meetings, lunch and coffee breaks will provide several networking opportunities to network with Euronext representatives and connect with investors.

Your opportunities at the event

By attending this event with Euronext, you will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in a Serious Game to learn about how to go public;
• Engage directly with top European investors and Euronext representatives;
• Pitch your business case in front of a world-renowned jury of European investors;
• Network with fellow EIC pilot funded SMEs;
• Receive personalised online training on pitching techniques before the event.

Who can apply?

Only small and medium-sized enterprises funded by under EIC pilot programmes can apply. 

Being seriously committed to attend the event, including participating in a preliminary pitching training webinar and giving feedback via a short survey after the event, is mandatory for a successful application. Selected companies will be contacted after the selection process.

Please make sure to describe in the application form why your company should be selected. You should justify you are at upscaling/growth stage and provide information on past financing rounds (a minimum threshold of EUR5m of accumulated funding is desirable).

Based on the answers provided in the application form, a jury panel of Euronext experts and investors, supported by EIC Pilot Business Acceleration Services, will select the most suitable companies, to maximise the benefits and ensure the effectiveness of the pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings.
