Industrial transformation and post-COVID recovery both offer the chance to rethink economic and social models. This requires innovative solutions and tools, which will help European companies and organisations reshape their business models, products and processes.

That’s why this year the Data 4 Healthy Recovery, a hackathon with an emphasis on smart health, will be dedicated to solving this sector’s most pressing challenges. To achieve this, the event will gather various European companies and organisations active in the smart health sector or on the lookout for fresh solutions to boost their resilience.

How does it work?

During the hackathon, participants will try to find creative solutions to some of the most urgent challenges in the field of smart health. The challenges will be linked to

  • health data storage and analytics solutions
  • connected health devices and applications
  • unconnected smart-health devices
  • other forms of applications (e.g. augmented/virtual reality, synthetic biology, 3D printing or nanotech)

An initial overview can be found on the challenges webpage. During a series of pre-event and brainstorming sessions before the hackathon, you will meet the challenge partners, learn about the complexities of the challenges, dive deeper into the problems and submit the solution you will be working on during the hackathon from 18 - 20 June 2021.

Who can take part?

Data 4 Healthy Recovery Hackathon is looking for passionate visionaries, developers, designers, data scientists, marketing specialists, engineers, entrepreneurs and industry experts. You can apply as an individual or put together a team. The virtual hackathon will have multiple brainstorming sessions, interesting talks, top-notch industry mentors and tons of other hackathon-style fun.
