The European Commission (EC) has recently announced a new initiative called REPowerEU, as a way of reducing the dependence on Russian gas. Aligned with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Programme, the European Innovation Council (EIC) is inviting EIC beneficiaries to be part of this joint European action for more affordable, secure, and sustainable energy. The objective is to make Europe energy-independent while ensuring that after signing up for it you can reduce your energy costs bills significantly while becoming CO2 neutral at the same time.

Applications are open until 21 May 2022.

Make sure to apply, and don’t miss this opportunity!

In light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the European Commission proposed at the beginning of March an outline of a plan to make Europe independent from Russian fossil fuels before 2030, named REPowerEU – as a way of putting concrete measures in motion and responding to rising energy prices in Europe. To support this initiative, the EIC’s GHG Programme reinforces its green commitment by opening a new Call for Interest to EIC-funded beneficiaries. The goal is to continue providing you with a free set of tailored services with personalised help and concrete mitigation measures and solutions to reduce your energy bill and emissions while assisting you throughout your Journey towards Carbon Neutrality.

A Journey toward Carbon Neutrality

The newly launched EIC programme Journey to Carbon Neutrality comprises a dedicated approach to supporting SME-sized companies. It includes both grouped sessions and the possibility to book additional individual support sessions with a personal GHG advisor. This advisor will be assigned to you during your entire journey – free of charge – and help you with your specific company case.

Throughout your journey, we will also help you assess, track, and efficiently reduce the carbon footprint of your business. To top it off, you can also see your commitment to a more sustainable business model rewarded with our GHG badges & CO2 neutral label
