The European Innovation Council (EIC) together with Health Proc Europe and the European Health Public Procurement Alliance (EHPPA) are organising an EIC ePitching to Procurers session on 12 April 2022, at 12:00 PM (CET). This online session will be dedicated to matching EIC beneficiaries with procurers needs in the fields associated with health and elderly care.

Make sure to apply here until 15 March 2022! LAST CHANCE to meet your future clients!

The companies awarded with ‘Best pitch’ during this session will be invited to Brussels to meet hundreds of procurers active in healthcare for the “1st Pan-European, Healthcare Procurement Summit, Brussels 21-22 September 2022” organised by Health Proc Europe and the European Health Public Procurement Alliance (EHPPA)

Europe’s population ageing is currently a key challenge for the Member States from a medium-to longer-term perspective. As the European Union is facing significant demographic changes – with people living longer and healthier lives and with lower birth rates –, it’s expected that over the next five decades the number of Europeans with 80+ years of age to rise from 4.9% (as recorded in 2016) to 13% by 2070.

At the same time, EU countries are also struggling with increased health costs. Which makes the importance of having more efficient procurement of medical devices, medicines, medical equipment and IT solutions for elderly care centres and hospitals pivotal, as that can lower the pressure on health budgets significantly while facilitating better value for money.

With that in mind, Health Proc Europe (a European organisation that is creating the largest healthcare procurement ecosystem) and EHPPA (the European alliance of 12 non-profit Group Procurement Organisations which aims to pool expertise, leverage performance, and provide its members with a strategic position in the European health procurement market), are calling you for action. That includes a set of challenges provided by five different organisations, as follows: 1) Health & Social Care Consortium of Catalonia (CSC), 2) GLSMED, 3) GIP Resah, 4) Purch AB, and 5) Median Group.

What's in store for you throughout the day?

In cooperation with the EIC, Health Proc Europe and EHPPA are looking for companies and start-ups that are willing to present their innovative solutions to procurers in the areas of health and elderly care. The selected EIC-backed SMEs will then get the chance to pitch their innovations and solutions during the online pitching session that will take place on 12 April 2022. Please note that the EIC companies with the most convincing solutions will be invited to attend the Pan European Healthcare Summit in September in Brussels.

Who can apply?

All EIC-backed SMEs working on innovative products or services in the field of health and elderly care, that can respond to the needs of five different stakeholders in the topics of interest below.
